Dear friend of Hart County Community Theater,
Recently BuzzFeed posted 23 Reasons to Attend Live Theater. These are some of my favorites:
- You feel the actors’ energy and presence
- You forget about everything outside the theater
- It’s actually 3-D; no glasses needed
- It’s live; so anything can happen!
- You get a shared experience with the rest of the audience
- You’ll get all the references from the Tony Awards
- If you have friends in the show, you can see them become different people
- There’s a show for every age and every reaction
Now, in existence for 36 years, Hart County Community Theater has ALWAYS made it our mission to foster, encourage and develop popular public appreciation of all dramatic and theatrical productions. This, of course, takes time and money and we are so grateful for all our volunteers and donors. This year we are replacing the roof of our 100+ year old building and are doing structural work to our basement. I am proud that we are continually trying to improve our facilities, while producing four quality plays and other significant productions.
We ask that you make a commitment to support our annual appeal and help us reach our fundraising goal. Without the assistance of community minded individuals just like you, we wouldn’t be able to serve those in our community each year. We are enclosing a donor envelope for your convenience or you can give online donations. If you are buying tickets online, there is a section called “Keeping the Arts Alive “and you can make a donation that way.
Mostly, we desire your presence. Come see or show and/or get involved behind the scenes. It is a remarkable experience and everyone involved becomes a family with their fellow cast and crew members.
Thanking you in advance for your generous support,
Ann Sanders Skelton Pitts
Proud President of Hart County Community Theater
